Welcome to The Ravished Reader Bookshop—a sultry sanctuary for readers who stay feral for fictional characters. 

It’s intoxicating between the pages—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We’re more than just a bookstore—we’re a literary love affair.

Founded with passion and a little bit of mischief, The Ravished Reader is an independent, woman-owned bookshop dedicated entirely to the art of romance—messy, magical, and marvelously smutty. From dark, brooding anti-heroes to cinnamon roll queers, morally gray monsters to spicy sapphic soulmates, our curated collection celebrates love in all its delicious forms.

At our core, The Ravished Reader is built on the belief that everyone deserves to see themselves ravished on the page. That’s why we proudly feature and uplift stories by women, queer, BIPOC, and other underrepresented creators. You’ll find our shelves (and carts!) overflowing with inclusive romance novels and bookish goods from indie and traditional authors, small presses, and diverse makers who are rewriting the rules of love—literally.

We don’t just read romance—we support it. Each month, we’ll donate 5% of all sales to a rotating charitable organization that champions diversity, inclusion, equality, or empowerment. Whether it’s Pride Month, Black History Month, Mental Health Awareness or celebrating a month of BIPOC communities heritage, our giving reflects the values that matter to our readers and our team.


Miranda - Owner/Founder

Hi! I’m Miranda – the founder of The Ravished Reader Bookshop and your new favorite Chief Romance Curator.

For the past 18 years, I single-handedly raised my son with everything I had. Now, it’s my turn. Time to pour that same love, grit, and fire into a passion that’s been waiting patiently in the wings.

This bookshop is my love letter to romance in every flavor and form. My reads are entirely mood-dependent and I’m unapologetically here for the vibes. Audiobooks are my favorite way to consume books, however, the touch and feel of a book (trophy) is unmatched.

Also, yes—I have a case of chronic RBF. But I promise I’m soft on the inside and would absolutely share my last sticker or book rec.

Hi! I'm Haley. 

I’m a mood/vibe reader with a particular love for paranormal and urban fantasy, and really as long as there’s romance involved, I’m in. I firmly and wholeheartedly believe there’s a book out there for everyone, and that “not liking to read” just means you haven’t found the right one yet.

I thrive behind the scenes, motivating others and helping to make the magic happen. Seeing others succeed brings me joy, and if I can help make that easier, all the better.

An obsessive reader, I have a particular soft spot for romance novels, especially those featuring grumpy/sunshine and single dads. When not curating content, you can find me indulging in trash reality TV or enjoying cozy nights at home with my husband and two cats. A travel lover at heart, I cherish adventures with my small group of friends, always seeking new experiences and memories to create.
