Welcome to The Ravished Reader Bookshop—a sultry sanctuary for readers who stay feral for fictional characters. 

We’re more than just a bookstore—we’re a literary love affair.

Founded with passion and a little bit of mischief, The Ravished Reader is an independent, woman-owned bookshop dedicated entirely to the art of romance— from messy to magical, and marvelously smutty. From dark, brooding anti-heroes to cinnamon roll queers, morally gray monsters to spicy sapphic soulmates, our curated collection celebrates love in all its delicious forms.

At our core, The Ravished Reader is built on the belief that everyone deserves to see themselves ravished on the page. That’s why we proudly feature and uplift stories by women, queer, BIPOC, and other underrepresented creators. You’ll find our shelves (and carts!) overflowing with inclusive romance novels and bookish goods from indie and traditional authors, small presses, and diverse makers who are rewriting the rules of love—literally.

We not just readers of diverse and inclusive romance, we're also supporters of it. Each month, we donate a percentage of all sales to a rotating charitable organization that champions diversity, inclusion, equality, or empowerment. Whether it’s Pride Month, Black History Month, Mental Health Awareness or celebrating a month of BIPOC communities heritage, our giving reflects the values that matter to our readers and our team.
